The Bud

This weekend contained the funniest single thing I have ever seen in my life. Still now when I think about it I don't just have a quiet chuckle, or even a bit of a giggle, but a hearty belly shaking laugh. After an unexpectedly huge night on Friday at the Corner for Tom's birthday- Happy Birthday Tom- Mark decides he has to pick us up at 8 am to get to the market before we head down to Rosebud for his birthday. So hung as and on hardlt any sleep we made it to the market, via Monty's place, everyone in the car bar Mark had been out the night before so we were all feeling quite fragile, not least of all Lil' Wellsy, so for someone to yell at him "Chris look out!" would have been shock enough, but to look up and see a boom gate bearing down on him was too much to handle. He started to duck, but hen realised that wouldn't be enough. He eventually ended up lying ont he ground with his hands covering his face as if he was being borne down by a finger of God. IT WAS HILARIOUS! Not just us but everyone around us cracked up and he got heckled by the trolley hire guy. After that we all felt much better, but we still didn't make it to Rosebud till about 1.30. Longest car trip to the peninsula ever. Luckily the weekend was worth it. Happy Birthday Mark.
